This went up on DeviantArt on January 1, 2017. Now that I no longer drink as much on New Years’ Eve, I am usually functional enough on New Year’s Day to draw.
What I wrote about this at the time:
I know I said I was done with Decemboobs and ready to move on to my next art challenge, but then my wife got drunk on New Years’ Eve and made a bathroom mirror selfie that she shared with a select company of friends. With her permission, I have drawn it as a bonus entry! If you’re not part of the select company of friends, you can’t have the original, sorry; I will mention that some of the image was a bit vague and I had to guess at what exactly was going on in some parts; also that we need to clean our bathroom mirrors. Anyway, my wife Aggie Janicot is not only a brilliant artist, smart and funny, but super gorgeous as well. And the retro librarian glasses suit her well.
So, er, happy new year!
There is an artist on DeviantArt who draws his wife, called I Draw My Wife. I’m proud to follow in the footsteps of Idrawmywife and his wife, by drawing my wife. While I haven’t put her in fantastic and somewhat fetish-y situations yet, I have featured her in my comics, as she is the model for Aggie in Abúi’s Travels.
While you’re here, go read Aggie Janicot’s webcomic American Gothic Daily!
Tomorrow, we’ll be back to faces for a bit with the January Portrait Challenge for 2017! That was one of my most successful portrait challenges and the one in which I learned the most.
