A two-fer!

What I wrote about these at the time:

Eighth [and Ninth] entry for #Decemboobs 2017, drawn with pencils (2H, 2B, 4B) and graphite pencil (6B). I keep saying that I want to go back to digital soon, but still end up going back to pencil art, because I can get it done quickly, by my standards anyway. each of these takes 30 minutes or less, whereas a digital drawing would be at least an hour.
Reference: https://www.instagram.com/p/BV2vltElr2W/ (second photo of three) – the referenced photo was made by plus sized model Sonny Turner to demonstrate just how poorly some bikinis that are ostensibly for larger women actually fit them. So here she is being goofy in a dressing-room, in an ill-fitting bikini that stretches and bulges all in the wrong places. Fun to draw and the next entry will also be from the same reference.

I still follow Sonny Turner on Instagram and sometimes spot her in ads and publications. She’s a delight, and really open about how as a model, the “best” self that she presents for the professional camera differs from her real self, rolls and goofy expressions and all. So far, these pictures have staid up.
