Inktober 2018, Day 6, Drooling

Day 6:

Monochrome drawing of a dog drooling.
Monochrome drawing of a dog drooling.

What I wrote about this at the time:

A couple of weeks ago, our dog Gelda came down with facial palsy and this caused her to drool out of one side of her mouth all the time. Other than that, she was her usual happy self. It’s cleared up since, but I tried to remember what it looked like at the time.
The drawing itself is a mess and I’m not even going to try to clean it up going to do any post-work on it. I did this in a state of exhaustion and it shows. However, once I realized that this drawing wasn’t going anywhere, I could experiment with the Copic markers and see how they behaved. That made the drawing even worse, but now I know they do soak and leak through the sketchbook paper and also they trap the pencil lines underneath them. That’s worth learning about.

For repost on this blog, I have gone ahead and done some post-work based on a scan I made a day or two after I originally posted this on DeviantArt and in other places.
